Derek Vollmer is Director for Waterscapes at WWF-US, supporting a portfolio of conservation projects around the world with an emphasis on climate change adaptation and ecosystem restoration. He is Chief Technical Advisor for Recharge Pakistan, the largest ecosystem-based adaptation project in the country, and currently advises on project design and monitoring for river basins in Brazil, Colombia, India, and Laos. He received his B.A. in Government and International Studies from the University of Notre Dame, his M.Sc. in Environmental Science and Policy from Johns Hopkins, and his Ph.D. in Spatial Planning from ETH Zurich.
