Careers for Change: Climate Action

This was another exciting event from our Careers for Change series that empowers college students and rising professionals to harness their skills and energy to have a positive impact on the world around them.

The attendees met with a group of experts, from a diversity of sectors and disciplines, leading on climate action, and left equipped to catalyze change in the communities and systems they’re a part of, be it a university, company, or neighborhood. They had the chance to meet the professionals one-on-one and have authentic conversations about their journeys, motivations, and key learnings.

KEYNOTE: Hazel Thayer

Hazel Thayer is a climate activist, video creator, and amateur standup comedian who breaks down economic and policy solutions to the climate crisis into short, funny, and accessible videos. She’s become a formidable social media commentator with her short, punchy, and comedic videos on TikTok and Instagram. Most recently she’s hosted the online web series “The Climate Breakdown” with The Weather Network and “UnF*cking the Planet” with PIQUE ACTION, in which she breaks down climate topics, cutting through gimmicks and greenwashing, to offer solutions that leave her viewers feeling empowered to act on climate change.
