As the climate crisis intensifies, we must confront the realities of what’s at stake while holding fast to the belief that change is possible.

Join a community dedicated to building a sustainable future by putting their skills, energy, and passion to work. Share what drives you and connect with others who are turning climate anxiety into climate action.

Doors open at 5:30. Event will start promptly at 6:15.

This event continues our Careers for Change series that empowers professionals to harness their skills and energy to have a positive impact on the world around them.

Everyone is welcome – college students, early and late career professionals, and folks simply looking for a supportive community.

Keynote - Tom DiLiberto

Tom DiLiberto is a climate scientist, award-winning science communicator and the media director at Climate Central. Prior to Climate Central, Tom worked as a public affairs specialist in the Office of Communication at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). As part of NOAA’s Ocean Today’s studio, he also wrote and starred in NOAA’s first-ever animated series Teek and Tom Explore Planet Earth. Previously he served as the senior climate scientist for NOAA’s Climate.gov and social media editor for NOAA Climate accounts on social media. In addition to his work at NOAA, Tom also served as the lead of the Department of State’s U.S. Center at the United Nations’ climate change conference in 2024 (COP29). He previously served as emcee of the Department of State’s U.S. Center at COP21, COP22, COP26, COP27 and COP28 where he helped lead the U.S. government’s public outreach space during the negotiations.
