Kick off Water Week with interactive support to refine your Capitol Hill message, and a relaxed networking reception designed to help water sector advocates head into congressional meetings more confident and prepared.
This event will feature a special SRF funding update from Andrew Kelley, Deputy Legislative Director who advises Senator John Boozman on water policy. Andrew will provide a concise insider look at the current state of State Revolving Funds (SRF) before the Senate Environment & Public Works Committee, where the funding stands in the appropriations process, and how Capitol Hill offices are hearing from constituents about SRF strengths and challenges.
We’ll also hear from former Congressional staffers Angela Ebiner and Joe Brown about what advocates should know as they engage during Water Week and upcoming fly-ins.
In addition to the SRF briefing, participants may sign up in advance for optional 15-minute one-on-one coaching sessions with experienced government affairs professionals, including former Hill staffers. These private sessions are designed to give you practical feedback on your congressional pitch, message clarity, and ask. Slots are limited and must be reserved ahead of time (a form to sign up will be sent to registered participants 3 weeks before the event).
After the formal remarks, the reception will continue with casual networking, food and drink, and space to connect with peers across the water sector as you prepare for a busy week on Capitol Hill.
Whether you are new to fly-ins or a seasoned advocate looking to sharpen your message and hearing, this event is built to help you make the most of your time in DC.
